In 2006 I wrote the first anonymous letter and left it at the library on my undergraduate college campus in Texas. It was so thrilling I decided to keep doing it. I’ve written over 4,000 since then. As a very quiet, anonymous project, it didn’t occur to me to photograph these letters or talk publicly about it until 2022!
